THE ART OF PLANETARY SCIENCE: The Moon Lights My Way (Zoom cast)

December 10, 2020

In the 2020 TAPS exhibit, my artwork uses photography to capture images of the Moon, which is rendered in oils, pastels, and in acrylic to make tactile art. I would like to see art become accessible for blind and visually impaired students as a way to teach and learn about Astronomy.

In the photo with me is Nina, a graduate student pursuing a degree in Science and Environmental Journalism, on an interview about using art and science as communication in teaching. Featured is Tactile Moon (acrylic on canvas), and poem book, WoMan of the Moon (Letterpress printed) which was shown in the TAPS exhibit this year.
